Wolfclan Longhouse
Archaeology Room
Crawford Lake Conservation Area
PRODUCT: The Archaeology Room and Interactive Exhibit in the Wolfclan Longhouse
BRIEF: Redesign the Archaeology Room and Interactive Exhibit in Crawford Lake Conservation Area's Wolfclan Longhouse. Including overseeing the overall design, colours, working alongside the construction team and Crawford Lake staff to create a learning space for all.
SOLUTION: The exhibit consists of 8 self-guided interactive stations that takes visitors through the field of archaeology and the history of Crawford Lake. This included dig pits, an audio station and included an interactive digital projector. I also created a wall vinyl that lined the entire room to represent the "layers" of the earth. The mural was hand-painted by Burlington's Tamara Kwapich (tkwapich.com) who we worked with to explain what archaeologists have found at the Crawford Lake village.
